Renaissance art, emerging in Europe between the 14th and 17th centuries, marked a revival of classical Greco-Roman ideals. It emphasised realism, humanism, and naturalism, using techniques like linear perspective, chiaroscuro (light and shadow), and anatomical accuracy to create more lifelike figures. Artists focused on human emotion, the beauty of nature, and religious themes, often blending Christian symbolism with classical mythology.
