By Car:
From Pickering: 8 miles (15-minute drive) via the A170 and Thornton Lane.
From Scarborough: 21 miles (40-minute drive).
From York: 35 miles (1-hour drive).
Parking:
Dalby Forest has several car parks, with the main visitor center located at Low Dalby. There is a toll road fee for vehicles entering the forest, which also covers parking.By Public Transport:
Bus: Take a bus to Thornton-le-Dale or Pickering, then access the forest by bike or taxi.
Train: The nearest station is Malton (14 miles away), with taxi services available to the forest.
